Open Settings → Notifications.
Turn categories on/off for the shop baseline.
Your personal prefs
Open Profile → Notifications.
Mute noisy categories for yourself without changing everyone else.
Mentions controls alerts when someone tags you with @ in order Activity comments or Production / Internal notes (and design comments). Turn it off if you only want assignee / status alerts.
If shop defaults and personal prefs disagree, personal mute usually wins for you.
Mute noisy categories in Preferences if your inbox is loud — critical order events can stay on.
