What Portfolio is
Portfolio is your shop’s presence on the platform network:
A company profile (brand, story, logo, visibility)
Member profiles for people on your shop
Links into Talent (browse, open-for-work, connect, hiring, messages)
It is not the place where you price and sell SKUs. Sellable items live in Marketplace listings (/marketplace/products). Showcase work on a member page uses profile modules (experience, skills, projects)—not a separate “portfolio products” catalog.

Both features are on Free+ in the default plans. You still need product mode Portfolio for those menus (chosen in Setup or Settings → Product modes).
Important: who can see portfolio pages?
Profile and company views under Talent are for signed-in platform members (other shops’ staff), not anonymous visitors on the open web and not customer-portal buyers.
Marketing pages (home, Pricing) are separate from portfolio.
Prefer this wording: visible to other shops on the platform, not “public internet.”
Prerequisites
Your plan includes Portfolio (default on Free / Starter / Pro / Custom).
Product mode includes Portfolio (otherwise Portfolio editors show access denied).
After signup with Portfolio mode, Setup usually runs:
Company profile — company + admin member profile
Portfolio & listings — sample marketplace listings (see Marketplace docs)
PrintShop-only shops can enable Portfolio mode later in Settings, then complete company/member pages manually.

Talent and Messages also need Portfolio on the plan, but they are not blocked by product mode the same way Portfolio editors are — they stay plan + role permission gated.
Platform administrators also have directory pages for companies and member profiles across shops.
