The wizard runs once after your shop is created. Goal: choose what you operate, then install starter catalogs (and optional sample jobs) with a progress screen.
Open Setup from the app after you sign in (you are sent here until it finishes).
Step 0 — Choose product modes
Pick at least one card:
Mode | What it’s for |
|---|---|
PrintShop | Quotes, orders, production floor, inventory, and shipping |
Portfolio | Public portfolio, company profile, marketplace listings, and seller tools |
Tips:
Print / decoration floor: choose PrintShop (or both if you also sell on the marketplace).
Mostly showcase + listings: choose Portfolio (included on Free by default).
Change later: Settings → Product modes.
After Continue, Setup installs the steps that match the modes you picked.
What Setup installs
Labels match the in-app progress list:
Step (UI) | PrintShop | Portfolio | What you get |
|---|---|---|---|
Order field rules | ✓ | — | Who can view/edit groups of order fields |
Production workflow | ✓ | — | Stations, steps, columns, machine groups |
Shipping & suppliers | ✓ | — | Ship types, packing boxes, blank suppliers, label defaults |
Shop settings | ✓ | ✓ | Default settings + shop name |
Decoration methods | ✓ | — | Common methods (screen, embroidery, …) |
Inventory taxonomy | ✓ | ✓ | Categories, units, default locations |
Sample data | ✓ | — | Demo customers / orders / products (when enabled) |
Company profile | — | ✓ | Public company page |
Portfolio & listings | — | ✓ | Sample portfolio / marketplace listings |
When every step finishes, you land on the Dashboard.
Setup does not replace configuring your address, Stripe for customer pay, email branding, carrier accounts, or inviting staff — see Configure after setup.
Sample data
When sample data is enabled for new shops (usual default):
Type | Approx. count | How to recognize |
|---|---|---|
Customers | 3 | Emails like |
Orders | 3 | Numbers ending like |
Inventory products | 2 | SKUs that look like demo / sample codes |
Use them to try Orders, Customers, and Inventory (if your plan unlocks Inventory). When going live:
Work on real customers and jobs, or
Archive / ignore / delete the sample rows once you no longer need them.
Your shop’s catalogs never change another shop’s data.
Your platform team can turn off sample business data for later signups; starter catalogs (decoration, stations, and so on) still install.
After the wizard
You land on Dashboard (widgets depend on product mode and plan).
The sidebar shows modules allowed by your modes and plan.
Some areas still show an upgrade panel if the plan does not include them (for example Inventory on Free).
Finish Setup before inviting buyers. You can always refine shop settings later under Settings.
