Always pick a clear reason in the UI. Prefer Transfer for location moves.
Low-stock alerts
Open Inventory → Alerts when deciding what to reorder.
Purchase orders
Go to Inventory → Purchase orders.
Create a PO against a CRM Vendor (toolbar often links to Vendors).
Receive into stock when goods arrive (inbound).
Vendor CRM detail: Customers — Vendors.
Receive stock into the right location before you allocate to a job; negative or zero stock is a signal, not a suggestion.
