Before you create a listing
Complete company profile —
/portfolio/company(visibility on).Confirm Settings → Shop → Payments shows ready to accept online payment (mock is fine for demos; Stripe Connect / other providers for live).
Open Products —
/marketplace/products.
The products page warns when payments are not ready and reminds you that listings are company-owned.
Create a listing
/marketplace/products→ add / new listing (/marketplace/products/new).Fill title, description, price, category (from shop inventory taxonomy where offered), images (
imageUrls).Save as Draft or publish as Active.
Edit later: /marketplace/products/[id]/edit.
Statuses
Status (UI) | Meaning |

Draft | Only your shop manages it; not for sale on browse |
Active | Published; other shops can buy if eligibility passes |
Sold | Claimed by a purchase; still viewable for engagement where allowed |
Archived | Not on browse; retained for records |
Publishing to Active sets a published timestamp. You generally should not move Sold back to Active after a real purchase without understanding your ops process—the system treats Sold as the post-purchase state.
Browse rules that affect sellers
Your shop’s ACTIVE listings are hidden from your own browse grid (you manage them under Products).
SOLD listings from your shop can still appear in browse contexts so the network can see sold items / engage where the product allows.
ARCHIVED never appears on browse.
Eligibility for others to buy
A listing is buyable when all are true:
Status is ACTIVE
Price is greater than zero
Seller Payments are ready
Buyer is not from the selling shop
If buyers cannot purchase, check payments first, then status and price.
Images & categories
Use clear product photos within Upload & Media limits.
Categories often come from the shop’s inventory taxonomy (installed at setup even when Inventory module is locked)—useful for browse filters.
Seller checklist
Company profile complete and visible
Payments ready banner cleared
Sample DRAFT/ACTIVE demos edited or archived
Real listings ACTIVE with correct price and images
Spot-check listing detail URL as another shop user if possible
Listing photos and clear sizes reduce disputes — update stock as soon as a sale clears.
