Switch As (impersonation)
Switch As lets privileged staff act as another active member of the shop to verify permissions and workflows.

While impersonating, you operate with the target user’s effective permissions. An exit control returns you to yourself.
Use Switch As to confirm “what the floor sees” after changing roles or Team permissions—not as a password-sharing substitute.
Platform root can still use support paths into shops (including suspended shops where root support is documented)—shop admins cannot revive a suspended shop themselves.
Profile (/profile)
Available to every signed-in staff user (and platform root). Typical tabs:

Shop receive payments for invoices/marketplace still live under Settings → Payments, not the profile payments tab.
Setup tips for new staff
Activate account → sign in.
Open
/profile— set password (if needed), notification prefs, optional 2FA.Add payment methods only if they will buy on Marketplace.
Admins: after assigning floor roles, Switch As once to spot-check Orders / stations.
Use roles and Switch As carefully — staff see the shop as that person; undo Switch As when you finish helping.
