People vs Profile
Under People you’ll usually see Customers, Vendors, Users, and User groups. Roles editing is for platform root. Profile is every staff member’s own account menu.
Who can manage teammates
Shop admins invite and edit users in their shop. Platform root can see all shops and has stronger delete rules. Editing the global role catalog is platform root only — shops assign existing roles.
Team permissions (order field matrix): view with settings access; save usually needs Pro+.
Use roles and Switch As carefully — staff see the shop as that person; undo Switch As when you finish helping.
