Typical flow (Starter+)
Finish packing on the order.
Open shipment actions on the order or go to Shipping in the menu (you can filter to one order when the UI links it).
Rate-shop carriers → purchase the label.
Print the label (single or batch when available).
Void if you must cancel (support varies by carrier — UPS live is strongest).
Mark shipped when the parcel leaves — may notify the customer and reduce stock if Inventory products were linked (Inventory).
Shipping queue
Use Shipping as your “open parcel work” list: pending rates, labels to print, completed shipments. Filter by status to focus the day.
Who can buy labels?
Roles with shipping or order update rights. View-only staff can usually watch the queue but not purchase.
Marking shipped can also fire reminder/event automations — Automations.
Set packing box types and ship types before buying labels — wrong box size shows up as wasted postage.
